The Government of Alberta (GoA) has embarked on transforming the work of government to deliver simpler, more efficient, and better services for the citizens of Alberta, thereby ensuring that the needs of Albertans are effectively met in the digital age. The Digital Design and Delivery Division (DDD) is the Province's new centre for digital delivery. The Province is looking for one (1) Data Engineer to work with DDD on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects across the GoA. Data Engineers will work as part of cross-functional program review or product delivery teams. The DCoE requires a Senior Data Architect to support the delivery of key roadmap items for the OneData Alberta and Crosswalk initiatives. The GoA's approach is enabled through a cloud-based and on-premise Data Fabric and/or Data Mesh framework for organizing, managing, and delivering enterprise data assets. This role provides senior-level architectural leadership and strategic direction, including schema analysis, data profiling, development of enterprise data architecture and models, data quality frameworks, metadata standards, and design of data linkages and crosswalk frameworks enabling an integrated, interoperable federated data ecosystem.

Working Hours & Location

- Resource must provide own equipment/laptop compatible with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Windows is preferred.
